Bible Reading: Deuteronomy 6:4-9
Hear, O Israel: The Lord is our God, the Lord alone.
You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart,
and with all your soul, and with all your might.
Keep these words that I am commanding you today in your
heart.
Recite them to your children and talk about them when you are at
home and when you are away, when you lie down and when you rise. Bind
them as a sign on your hand, fix them as an emblem on your forehead, and
write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.
These words are in the bible.
Thanks be to God.
Music Ministry: Thanks to God Whose Word Was Spoken
Welcome to the Bible Library
Song: The Bible is a Library
The Bible is a library
with stories in its pages
of prophets, heroes and crooks,
and God who wants a friendship
with the people he created
and its all in sixty six books.
Stories of faith,
stories of hope,
stories of struggle and pain.
Stories of adventure,
stories of tears,
stories of God who loves again and
again.
This is the Bible.

Song: Stepping Off the Pages
Verse 1 (Jesus): Don’t stick me in a book or a library,
Dusty and way up high.
For I am still alive today,
I’m right here by your side.
Chorus (Jesus): Today I’m step, step,
stepping off the pages,
Step, step, stepping off the pages,
Step, step, stepping off the pages,
Come walk with me.
Chorus (all): Yes, you are step, step,
stepping off the pages,
Step, step, stepping off the pages,
Step, step, stepping off the pages,
We’ll walk with you.
Verse 2 (Jesus): I met a man named Zaccheus,
he had climbed up a tree,
I told him to come down again,
I said, “Come talk with me.”
Chorus 2 (all): Yes, you are…
We’ll talk with you.
Verse 3 (Jesus): I met a girl who they said was dead,
I said she was asleep.
I told her to get up again,
I said, “Come stand with me.”
Chorus 3 (all): Yes, you are…
We’ll stand with you.
Verse 4 (Jesus): I met a boy with some fish and bread,
a whole crowd was hungry.
I multiplied the food he had,
I said, “Come eat with me.”
Chorus 4 (all): Yes, you are…
We’ll eat with you.
Verse 5 (Jesus): I met some angry people,
they nailed me to a tree.
I asked God to forgive them.
I said, “Come live with me.”
Chorus 5 (Jesus): Today I’m…
Come live with me.
Chorus 5 (all): Yes, you are…
We’ll live with you.
Verse 6 (Jesus): I met some friends along the road,
they talked but could not see,
I broke the bread among them,
I said, “Come follow me.”
Chorus 6 (all): Yes, you are…
We’ll follow you.

Song: The Postie Song
God’s got a letter for me,
and God’s got a letter for you.
God’s got a special delivery.
Come on let’s take a look.
Open, then read it, then pass it around.
God’s got a letter for you.
God’s got a letter for you.

Song: I’m Part of God’s Story
Solos: The bible’s full of stories
of fisher folk and kings.
Tho’ they lived so long ago
it’s not the end of things;
God’s story is still living
in people here today.
Ordinary people who travel God’s good way;
For I’m part of God’s story,
it matters what I do.
And you’re part of God’s story,
what you do matters too.
Do good, step in when people
look like they need a hand.
Ordinary people who’re
caring when they can
are ordinary people
who make the world seem bright
to ordinary people who need a little light.
Let’s be part of God’s story,
it matters what you do.
We’re all part of God’s story,
what you do matters too.

Prayers of the People
And now with the confidence of the children of God, let us pray the prayer Jesus taught us saying:
Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be Your name,
your Kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as in Heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins,
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Save us from the time of trial
and deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power
and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen.
We Sing: May the Feet of God Walk With You
May the feet of God walk with you,
and his hand hold you tight.
May the eye of God rest on you,
and his ear hear your cry.
May the smile of God be for you,
and his breath give you life.
May the Child of God grow in you,
and his love bring you home.
