Children’s Ministry

Sunday SchoolSUNDAY SCHOOL

Sunday School happens every week. Children and their teachers and a supporting Angel leave worship after Children’s Time for a time of fun, fellowship and activities. These activities are structured around the same readings and lessons as that week’s worship using the Seasons of the Spirit curriculum. There are three classes during school term:

Kindy – for pre-schoolers
Beginners – for Reception to Year 2
Primary – for Year 3 to Year 5
JR Youth – for Year 6 to Year 8

A Holiday Program where all classes are combined is offered during School Holidays.

Visitors are very welcome to join us any Sunday. Parents are welcome to accompany their children for extra support.

KCOKids Camp Out (KCO)

KCO is an overnight camp for kids 7-12 years of age. It is a major Uniting Church SA event attracting over a thousand campers. KCO aims to assist kids to explore faith through their own discovery, encouraging sharing and relationships with their peers. At KCO kids enjoy a wide range of performances, activities, games, worship and music, based around a central theme. The theme aims to teach the campers about Jesus’ life and teachings, in a manner that is understandable, appropriate to their context and, of course, incredibly fun.  Each year Brougham Place takes a group of kids to KCO.  Check out their website for more details.

ChildreninworshipCHILDREN IN WORSHIP

We love having children in worship, it makes us family. Kindy and primary school age children stay in worship until after Children’s Time then move downstairs to the Hall where Sunday School is offered. Toddlers and babies are welcome to stay with their parents throughout worship. There is an area at the back of the worship space that is big enough for prams, and there toys and books available to the children there.
