Coming to Brougham Place Uniting
If you are coming to a service or event in the Church, please note that the worship space will be colder (in temperature) than you would expect in most seasons, except for summer.
In winter, it can be particularly cold. We recommend a warm jacket. Some of us also wear gloves!
Access by Car
Please note that Brougham Place (the road) is in many sections with several road closures and one way sections. If driving directly to the church there is no vehicle access from O’Connell St into the section of Brougham Place where the church is.
On Sunday mornings there is a passenger loading zone (9 am-12 noon) on the northern side of the church and a short-term drop off/loading zone in the church carpark on the left-hand side adjacent to the Memoral Garden .
Parking
The carpark is on the southern side of the church off Brougham Place. We have limited parking available.
On Sundays: there are up to seven spaces are available (only between 8.00am and 1.00pm)
At all other times: there are only two carparks available. We recommend booking a park in advance through the Church Office.
A short-term drop off/loading zone is available as you enter the carpark on the left-hand side adjacent to the Memoral Garden.
On weekends some parking is available on Stanley Street. At all times there is ample (two hour restriction Weekdays and during Special events) parking on the section of Brougham Place between LeFevre Terrace and O’Connell St (access via Margaret St or O’Connell St only).
N.B. When major events are held in the city, such as the Mothers Day Classic Fun Run parking in Brougham Place can be in short supply. Allow time to find a park either in Ward Street to the North or Stanley Street near to Jerningham Street.
Accessibility (Disability Access)
Wheelchair access is via our Side Entrance on the North-West of the Church. We have an accessible toilet in our basement, accessed via a ramp down from the carpark.
