Barbara Horne – Funeral

It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of Barbara on the third of August. 

Barbara, a long term member of the Uniting Church was a member of Brougham Place UC for some years.

Barbara was committed to social justice in many forms, lending her voice and energy to causes that sought a more just and inclusive world. She was a passionate and courageous advocate for LGBTQI+ rights – both in the wider world and within the life of the church. Her faith was deep, marked by openness, curiosity and compassion. She was an avid reader, a wonderful conversationalist, and a beloved friend to many. She will be deeply missed. 

Barbara’s funeral was held at Pilgrim UC on Friday, August 8th, at 2pm.

In this time of grief, we hold Barbara’s family in our hearts and prayers, and give thanks for the gift of her life.
