Organ Closed Circuit TV

To assist the organist seeing the worship leader a closed circuit TV system has been installed. The system has a number of parts and is scattered through the innards of the organ.

The parts are:

  • Monitor on the top right of the organ console (Altronics Model S8860B color TV, PAL system, 12V 10W, Serial KPT06003970). Connectors from top on right edge - unused, unused, Power, USB
  • Mounting bracket to hold monitor
  • 12V DC Power supply for the Monitor on a power board accessible from the Eastern door of the organ
  • DC Power supply runs to monitor
  • 24V AC Power supply for camera on the same power board accessible from the Eastern door of the organ
  • AC Power supply is connected to inner and shield of red strand of black cable heading to camera
  • USB connector to a special cable to RCA connectors located behind the great pipes to the right of the organ console
  • Female to Female RCA joiner located behind the great pipes to the right of the organ console (visible if you climb the ladder one step and look back towards the great pipes and down)
  • RCA connector is connected to inner and outer of white strand (along with red one) heading to camera in black cable
  • In air-conditioning depression next to camera, red shielded strand is split out to white figure 8 cable and fed to camera 24V AC input on rear
  • Also in box next to camera, white pair is joined to a RCA connector cable with yellow male connector
  • There is a BNC to RCA female adaptor on back of camera for RCA connector cable
  • Panasonic WV-CP244EXE Colour CCTV Camera, 24V 3.3W AC, Video out 1V p-p, DIP switches on back of camera are not documented

Connections to camera RCA connector

  • Yellow to Female/Female RCA Joiner
  • White not connected
  • Black not connected
  • Red connected to a Red connector on another RCA cable (which also has a not-connected black connector)

Operation:

  • Turn on the main supply to organ, right hand switch, bottom right of console (not the blower)
  • Turn on the monitor
  • Set the monitor to Video 1
  • Adjust direction of camera as required
  • Adjust focus ring on camera as required
