Prelude

Welcome

Lighting of the Candles and Introit: Love is Your WayPer Harling

Call to Worship

We are a living, growing cooperative network and community,
one with the vine,
intwined with the all the other branches.
We are in the hands of the Vine Grower,
the one to whom we belong,
who tends and cares for us,
for the purposes of justice, joy and love.

Opening Prayer

We Sing: Christ is Alive, with Joy We Sing

  1. Christ is alive, with joy we sing;
    we celebrate our risen Lord,
praising the glory of his name.
    Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.

  2. He is the vine set in the earth,
sharing our life, from birth to death,
that we might share in God’s own life.
    Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.

  3. He is the bread that comes from God,
broken to feed us in our need,
    given to bring eternal life.
    Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.

  4. Christ is alive, with joy we sing;
    we celebrate our risen Lord,
praising the glory of his name.
    Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.

Prayer of Confession

We ask your mercy:
Hear our prayer.

Words of Assurance

God loves us in our brokenness,
but we need not stay broken.
When we are in right relationship with God,
God’s love is perfected in us and we are made whole.
Thanks be to God!

Passing of the Peace

The peace of our God be with you.
And also with you.

Prayers of the People

We Sing: All Are Welcome

Refrain:
All are welcome, friend and stranger,
at the banquet of the Saviour.
All are welcome, all are welcome here.

  1. From the woman who comes crying,
    leaving tears at Jesus’ feet,
to the man who knows the right way,
    but cannot see.
All are welcome, friend and stranger,
at the banquet of the Saviour.
All are welcome, all are welcome here.

  2. From the ones who feel forgotten,
those who sense their place is gone,
to the ones who live in hunger –
    here you belong.
All are welcome, friend and stranger,
at the banquet of the Saviour.
All are welcome, all are welcome here.

  3. Go into the streets and cities,
    to the farms and families.
Tell about the splendid table –
    God’s mercy.
All are welcome, friend and stranger,
at the banquet of the Saviour.
All are welcome, all are welcome here.

Celebrating Holy Communion

Setting of the Table

Great Prayer of Thanksgiving

May God be with you.
And also with you.

Lift up your hearts!
We lift them up to our God.

Let us give thanks to God our Creator.
It is right to give our thanks and praise.

… And so we raise our voices,
together with heaven and earth,
your people throughout all time and in all places,
and all of creation, saying:
Holy, holy, holy God, of all creation and life,
Heaven and earth are full of your glory,
Hosanna in the highest!
Blessed is the one who comes in the name of God.
Hosanna in the highest!

The Lord’s Prayer

…and now with the confidence of the children of God, let us pray the prayer Jesus taught us saying:

Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be Your name,
your Kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as in Heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins,
as we forgive those who sin
against us.
Save us in the time of trial
and deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power
and the glory are yours
now and forever. Amen.

Breaking of the Bread

The Communion

Prayer After Communion

We Sing: Sent Forth by God’s Blessing

  1. Sent forth by God’s blessing, our true faith confessing,
the people of God from his table take leave,
The supper is ended: may now be extended
the fruits of his service in all who believe.
The seed of his teaching, our hungry souls reaching,
shall blossom in action for all humankind.
His grace shall incite us, his love shall unite us
to work for his kingdom, his purpose to find.

  2. With praise and thanksgiving to God ever-living
the tasks of our everyday life we will face,
our faith ever sharing, in love ever caring,
embracing as neighbours all those of each race.
One feast that has fed us, one light that has led us,
unite us as one in his life that we share.
Then may all the living, with praise and thanksgiving,
give honour to Christ and his name that we bear.
