Call to Worship
Come all who long to know your maker more. Come all who are thirsty for
a deeper relationship. Come and join with your brothers and sisters.
Come let us worship the one who loves us and calls us to be here.
Let us worship God,
Maker, Son and Spirit.
We Sing: Praise the One Who Breaks the Darkness
Praise the One who breaks the darkness
with a liberating light.
Praise the One who frees the prisoners,
turning blindness into sight.
Praise the One who preached the gospel,
healing every dread disease,
calming storms and feeding thousands
with the very bread of peace.
Praise the One who blessed the children
with a strong yet gentle word.
Praise the One who drove out demons
with a piercing two-edged sword.
Praise the One who brings cool water
to the desert’s burning sand.
From this well comes living water
quenching thirst in every land.
Praise the one true love incarnate:
Christ, who suffered in our place.
Jesus died and rose for many
that we may know God by grace.
Let us sing for joy and gladness,
seeing what our God has done.
Praise the one redeeming glory;
praise the One who makes us one.

Grow in Grace – Malcolm Archer
Scripture Reading: Galatians 3:23-29
Now before faith came, we were imprisoned and guarded under the law
until faith would be revealed. Therefore the law was our disciplinarian
until Christ came, so that we might be reckoned as justified by faith.
But now that faith has come, we are no longer subject to a
disciplinarian, for in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through
faith. As many of you as were baptized into Christ have clothed
yourselves with Christ. There is no longer Jew or Greek; there is no
longer slave or free; there is no longer male and female, for all of you
are one in Christ Jesus. And if you belong to Christ, then you are
Abraham’s offspring, heirs according to the promise.
From this shines forth the Word of God.
Thanks be to God.
Sermon
We Sing: Jesus Put This Song
Jesus put this song into our hearts,
Jesus put this song into our hearts,
it’s a song of joy no-one can take away:
Jesus put this song into our hearts.
Jesus taught us how to live in harmony,
Jesus taught us how to live in harmony;
different faces, different races, he made us one:
Jesus taught us how to live in harmony.
Jesus taught us how to be a family,
Jesus taught us how to be a family,
loving one another with the love that he gives:
Jesus taught us how to be a family.
Jesus turned our sorrow into dancing,
Jesus turned our sorrow into dancing,
changed our tears of sadness into rivers of joy
Jesus turned our sorrow into a dance.

Prayers of the People
The Lord’s Prayer
And now with the confidence of the children of God, let us pray the prayer Jesus taught us saying…
Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be Your name,
your Kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as in Heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins,
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Save us in the time of trial
and deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power
and the glory are yours
now and forever. Amen.
We Sing: I Come With Joy
I come with joy, a child of God,
forgiven, loved and free,
the life of Jesus to recall,
in love laid down for me,
in love laid down for me.
As Christ breaks bread, and bids us share,
each proud division ends.
The love that made us, makes us one,
and strangers now are friends,
and strangers now are friends.
The Spirit of the risen Christ,
unseen, but ever near,
is in such friendship better known,
alive among us here,
alive among us here.
Together met, together bound
by all that God has done,
we’ll go with joy, to give the world
the love that makes us one,
the love that makes us one.
