The Light on the Hill

Advent & Christmas 2021

In this Advent season we wait and watch, prepare and hope for the coming of Christ this Christmas.

The Advent wreath will be formed through our prayers as we seek to let light into our lives and the world. You are invited to bring a candle that will contribute to the Advent wreath. Please bring a candle that is encased in glass and place it at one of the welcome desks. You can do this any week during Advent. These will form the prayers of the people as the light grows each week. If you are worshipping online, you might like to ensure that you have a candle to light during this time in worship. You are also invited to keep a prayer journal during the four weeks of Advent.

Prayer Journal

Each week you are invited to record your prayers in a prayer journal as we seek light to break into our lives and the world. You are invited to bring your Advent prayer journal to worship each week. We will light candles as we hold one another in prayer and share our prayer concerns for the world. We seek the presence of light as we prepare our hearts and minds to welcome the light of the world this Christmas.
