Wedding
From BPWiki
Brougham Place Uniting Church is a magnificent heritage building, designed by architect Edmund Wright and constructed in 1859.
Located within minutes of the city centre, graced by parks, with Italian marble stairs rising to the entrance, it has become a much sought after church for couples wanting to celebrate their marriage in a grand and historic setting. About 40 couples a year choose this church.
Meeting the Ministers
One of our ministers will meet with you approximately three months before your wedding date. The minister will discuss the specific arrangements for your wedding ceremony including readings, choice of vows, declarations and music. Together you will design a service that reflects you as a couple. You will also meet together for pre-marriage counselling.
Your are welcome to use your own minister by prior arrangement.
The Rehearsal
This the final meeting with a minister before your wedding day, and is held during the week before your wedding ceremony. We recommend that all members of the wedding party, and others involved in the ceremony, attend this rehearsal which usually lasts about one hour.
Music
Our heritage pipe organ and grand piano, played by our music director, are included in the cost of the wedding. For an additional fee you can also have the Brougham Place choir sing hymns and other music selections. You may also organise your own musicians, soloists or CDs.

We are a community of hope that has passed faith from generation to generation, standing for justice and truth, equality and compassion, grace and love. Its cornerstone is built on Christ, the Living Word, spoken in the lives of its members. The Spirit continues to lead the mission of Brougham Place as it seeks to reach out and make known the love of God.
